Mapping the health of Baltimore's neighborhoods; HOMICIDE INCIDENCE RATE

The Baltimore City Health Department's 2011 Neighborhood Health Profiles shows a disparity in life expectancy, education and major causes of death between wealthy and poor neighborhoods.

Clifton-Berea was the neighborhood with highest homicide incidence rate at 61.8 per 10,000 residents (2005-2009). Cross-Country/Cheswolde & South Baltimore were the neighborhoods with lowest homicide incidence rate at 0 per 10,000 residents (2005-2009). The average homicide incidence rate for all of Baltimore City was 20.9 per 10,000 residents (2005-2009).
