Monica Fischer

Monica Fischer2009 Spring All-Metro first team
The kind of player who would run through a wall to get the ball, Fischer and her never-give-up attitude were a key component behind the No. 4 Cougars’ run to their first state Class 3A-2A crown. In the 16-1 title-game romp over then-No. 3 Mount Hebron, Fischer contributed two goals and so much more. Thinking two steps ahead of every play, she picked off passes and snatched up ground balls that helped Fallston dominate possession. The Cougars’ second-leading scorer (45 goals and 19 assists), the senior excelled all over the field for the Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference champs. Fischer, who also helped the basketball team to the state 3A title, is headed to Johns Hopkins, where she will play lacrosse.
